The Mapping of the Entradas into the Greater Southwest Papers 1992-1999 Undated

These papers were first presented at a conference entitled “Entrada: The First Century of Mapping the Greater Southwest” at UTA in 1992. The book that resulted is titled The Mapping of the Entradas into the Greater Southwest Papers, and is edited by Gerald Saxon and Dennis Reinhartz. The Center for Greater Southwester Studies and the History of Cartography was created in 1990. Its purpose, according to its governing document, is “to encourage and sponsor interdisciplinary studies, scholarship, research, and teaching that interpret the people, society, economy, environment, history and cultures of the Greater Southwest.” The Center is a joint program between Special Collections and the History Department.This collection consists of slides, CDs, drafts, permissions, requests, photographs, and symposium papers related to the Mapping of the Entradas project.
